Jigawatt Fusion Quick Start
Getting started with Jigawatt Fusion is as easy as following the prompts. It only takes about one minute to get in and get started! In fact, reading this will probably take longer than configuring your entire setup. But whatever...you do you!
1. Establish your Company account.
To sign up for your Jigawatt Fusion account, contact us! Accounts are intended for companies wherein multiple individuals have unique profiles, sign in independently, and collaborate with each other. So you start with your company name, and if you want your stuff to look cool, a logo.
The Help Hub
Once your account is set up and you log in, you'll arrive at the Help Hub, a checklist of the things most companies will need to configure to start slinging that solar! It will gently nudge you–inasmuch as you want to be nudged–toward the handful of setup things that make Jigawatt Fusion work. You can get back to the Help Hub anytime by clicking the button in the left sidebar.
It's worth noting that the Help Hub checklist looks a lot like the rest of this list.
2. Refine your Company Profile
There's not a whole lot on the Company Profile page; just a logo and an address that will show up on your Proposal if you've added them. If you've set up your Jigawatt Fusion account for your boss and you now need to designate them as the Company Owner, this is where you do it. This is a quick step, so go ahead and get it out of the way.
3. Set up Pipelines & Stages
Pipelines are Jigawatt Fusion's primary workflow tool. They work like a kanban board, where each column–or Stage–from left to right represents a step in a process, whether it's sales, solar installation, or any other type of work you do. You can set up the Stages in your Pipelines however you darn well please, but you're almost certainly going to want a "start" and a "finish" task at the very least.
4. Create additional Users.
Jigawatt Fusion is a collaborative tool that makes it easy for multiple people to share information and workload with each other. Once you have your Pipelines set up and there's something for your colleagues to see when they log in, go ahead and set up their accounts. See this article to learn all about Users.
With this done, you're now ready to start using Jigawatt Fusion in its most fundamental form. Read on for some slightly-more-advanced, game-changing configurations!

5. Build Teams
Teams help you silo work among certain Users. Perhaps the most obvious use for Teams is to keep one sales team from getting at another team's leads, but there are also some productivity-enhancing cases for this structure. For instance, when a Project advances from sales to installation, you might reassign ownership to the design team, and then to the installation team, and then to the commissioning team, and then to the customer care team. This can streamline delegation and keep disinterest parties' desks clear of irrelevant clutter. Click the following links for information on Teams and its counterpart, Project Visibility.
6. Configure your Loans library
You can skip this part if you're lucky enough to deal exclusively with cash-paying customers. But if you–like the rest of us–install financed solar projects, you'll want to dial in how you calculate and quote Loans. In the Loans Library, you'll configure which financing you offer your customers, as well as the dealer fees those lenders extort from your hard-earned income.
7. Build out your Materials catalog
The solar Layout tool gives you immediate energy production estimates on the systems you design. To do this, it needs to know something about the panels you're using. These are managed in the Materials catalog, where you can pick from thousands of real-life solar products to quote. You can also set up your own custom items, whether they're obscure manufactured items we don't know about, or turnkey services your company offers.
What about the Wiz?
The Wiz is a great lead generation tool for solar companies actively marketing online. It's an optional add-on to your Jigawatt Fusion account, and worth checking out even if a sophisticated web campaign is still well in the future for you. See it in action, and learn about its many customizations here.
