Company Profile

There's not much to say about the Company Profile that you can't infer yourself at a glance; it's pretty self explanatory. But since we're committed to thoroughly documenting this system for you–our beloved users–we're gonna go ahead and insult your intelligence.

A Jigawatt Fusion account corresponds to an organization, whether it's one that employs a single owner/operator or hundreds of employees. All other data entities: Users, Projects, Quotes, etc., as well as a host of settings, are managed at the Company level. Most attributes of the Company Account are addressed in another article. However, the visual profile of the Company itself deserves some mention.

The Company Profile becomes relevant primarily in outbound communications, including Proposals, Documents & Contracts, and The Wiz. It defines the name, contact info, and branding to display on Jigawatt Fusion-generated documents. If your company moves, or undergoes a rebranding or name change, you'll want to update your Company Profile.

To do so, a user with permissions to edit Company settings can browse to Settings > Company > Company Profile

The Company Profile comprises four settings, the first three of which show up as branding on your Proposals. The last is relevant to who ultimately controls your Jigawatt Fusion account.

Logo

First of all, your Company Profile needs a logo. Upload one. Make sure it's cool, because lame logos are going to suck some of the rad out of an otherwise transcendent Jigawatt Fusion experience. Your logo should be in PNG format, but it'll accept a JPEG as well...we suppose. And it should have a white or transparent background, because the pages it gets overlaid (Proposals, Wizzes) on are white. If your logo doesn't meet the above suggestions, someone on Fiverr can help you out, literally for the cost of a sandwich (not an affiliate, just throwing you a bone).

Company Name

Your company name probably won't change all that often. But if it does, update it here.

Address

Enter an address for the company. It's not required, but it goes on your Proposals, and folks gotta know where to mail checks! If you work out of your home and don't want your customers turning the tables and stalking you instead, a P.O. Box can make you look pretty legit.

Company Owner

Lastly, the Company Profile is where you designate the Owner for your company. That's the user who has god mode in your Jigawatt Fusion account. So make sure it's you, or someone you really trust, because they have ultimate control over the Company's settings, as well as the existence of the account itself. You can read more (but not all that much more) on Company Owner at the bottom of this article.

Branding Profiles

In addition to all of these sweet customization features, you can set Branding Profiles to suit your needs based on what and where you're selling. Our sample company is Classic Solar, but maybe we're starting up a team in Miami and we want them to have their own branding, we we'll call them Classic Palms Solar and give them their own logo. Maybe we're selling a roof to put those new solar panels on, so we'll switch that over to Classic Roofing and Solar. Once you've created your branding profile(s) by navigating to Settings -> Profiles, you can apply the appropriate branding to any proposal when creating a quote and clicking on your company's logo on the Proposal tab. This will then swap out all of the brand-specific assets (logos, company name, address, etc) on the proposal so that one proposal works for all brands as opposed to having to create and select proposals specific to each brand.
