Company Account
Jigawatt Fusion is a cloud-based productivity software for solar professionals. It runs in any major web browser, which means there's nothing to download and install. Users engage on a SaaS (Software as a Service) basis, keeping their account active for as long as they choose, with no signing or implementation fees, and no cancellation penalties (other than not having Jigawatt Fusion in your life anymore, which we feel is punishment enough). Once configured, your can managed completely within the app itself. This drastically limits the time you have to spend on the phone with customer service, which keeps our interactions with you strictly to high-fives and brewskis.
Service level
A Jigawatt Fusion account is rooted at the Company level, meaning an organization has a single account with multiple users. Users' access can be siloed off in different ways (see Teams, Project Visibility, and the various Settings permissions.
Teams and Users
Each User has their own login and profile. Users' visibility of Projects and other information can be restricted according to their role within the organization; in other words, you can share information with certain users while keeping it away from others. User activity within the system, BTW, is tracked in the Activity Log, and Users can be tagged in comments and assigned things to do.
Users can also, optionally, be grouped into Teams to further customize visibility and limitations. A User might have unlimited access to Projects within their own Team, but be unable to access another Team's data. Visibility within a Team is highly configurable as well; some users can see everything their Team is doing, while others might be limited to the Projects they, themselves, "own". Read more about Project Visibility here.
Subscription & Billing
Subscriptions in Jigawatt Fusion are billed per project, based on the pre-selected license agreement of maximum projects per month. Unused subscription-issued projects do not rollover to subsequent months. If a company uses their allotment of projects before the next billing cycle, they can purchase individual project tokens (that never expire).
The license agreement is month-by-month. Subscriptions are billed in advance. Payments are processed automatically by the system, using credit card or echeck. As long as payments clear, you’ve got access to your account! If you're crazy and choose to deactivate your Jigawatt Fusion account, you'll have access through the end of the billing period, or one month from the most recent charge.
Your invoices and receipts are stored in your Jigawatt Fusion account, so you can get them at any time. Go to Settings > Billing > Receipts to keep tabs on your charges.
Company Manager
Both Service Levels come with a range of Settings that affect how the system works. Users, Teams, Pipelines, Materials, Loans, Wizzes, User Roles, Subscriptions, and more are all configured within the Settings area of the site. You may want to delegate some or all of this control to certain trusted, competent individuals within your organization. You can do this on their User profile; simply check the Company Manager box and choose which Settings features you want to grant them access to.
Company Owner
In addition to Company Managers, one User in each Company is designated as the "Owner". Aside from getting a little crown next to their name on the Users page, there aren't many perks to being the Company Owner. But they do get universal permissions to all Projects and all Settings, and they can't be deleted or deactivated as long as they maintain that status. This means that regardless of how fat someone's fingers may be, there will always be someone in the Company who can log into their account in a pinch.
By default, the Company Owner is the first user that was set up with the new company, but this can be changed by going to Settings > Company > Company Profile.
