When a visitor lands on the Wiz:
- They're invited to enter their address. Thanks to Google Earth magic, they're instantly rewarded with a satellite view of their house, and all that sunny rooftop space where solar panels should be.
- Next, they're invited to trace out the sections of their roof they think would be best for solar panels. Most people won't really know what makes a good spot for solar panels, but a friendly, three-slide animation quickly educates them.
- After they've traced out their roof planes, panels are automatically positioned in the most space-conducive layout that the computer can compute.
- A PV Watts analysis runs in the background to project the power generation from the user-designed PV system.
- The system cost (or loan payment, if applicable) is also calculated, and a value proposition is presented to the user. They can tinker with the values, swap one panel for another, and quickly be inspired to go solar!
- Lastly, feeling some trust and gratitude for the sublime interactive experience you've provided them, they give you their contact information, whereupon you call them up and sell some solar!
