Automating projects with Zapier

Yep, Jigawatt Fusion has a Zapier app.

Jigawatt Fusion integrates easily with thousands of other software applications using Zapier, the ubiquitous data automation platform that works and plays brilliantly with others. By tying your Jigawatt Fusion account to Zapier, you can essentially tie it to every other cloud app on the Internet.

Understanding Jigawatt Fusion's general data structure, as well as how Zapier works, will help you quickly zap projects from your pipeline into other platforms, and vice versa.

Understanding the project

The project, represented as a card, is the central data element of Jigawatt Fusion's workflow. It's an aggregation of the homeowner name(s), an address/physical location, and dozens of other data points having to do with sales, quoting, contracting, and management of solar projects. A project is moved through your Jigawatt Fusion workflow as it's worked in real life.

Pipelines and Stages

The Jigawatt Fusion workflow can be divided into one or many pipelines, each of which can include multiple stages. The pipeline "Opportunities", for example, may include five stages: New, Attempted, Scheduled, Quoted, and Won. A second pipeline, "Customers" might include six stages: Site Survey, Design, Permit/Approval, Installation, and Inspection. From start to finish, a project may pass through all eleven stages of the two pipelines.

Zapping Jigawatt Fusion Projects

You can export a project to another platform–or import one into Jigawatt Fusion–at any point in the workflow using Zapier. You'll set up your zap to reference both a pipeline and stage; the zap will watch for projects to be added to that stage, whether they're created manually, moved from another stage, or even imported via a different zap.

Zapping in: When a zap fires, a project is created in a specific stage within a specific pipeline. This zap will use the Jigawatt Fusion app as the action.

Zapping out: When a project is created or moved to a specific pipeline and stage, the project and its details are zapped out. This zap will use the Jigawatt Fusion app as the trigger.
